I’m a French 34yo man, father of two, I work as system engineer and devops in Switzerland. I am a Freebsd enthusiast, but globaly interested about Open-Source, free software projects and infrastructures.
Although I have a personal preference for *BSD over Linux, for my workstation or for network nodes, it goes without saying that I am convinced of the advantages of Linux for companies which must remain aligned on the requirements of their developers regarding software versions, libraries and dev. environments.
Aside of computers I love mountain biking, climbing and DIY (all kind: mechanic, electrical, welding, wood-work etc)
I really like mountain biking, I practice it when I have free time, which is kind of difficult with work, family and house etc. We live in the french Alps so it’s the perfect playground for MTB. I do enduro, DH, all-mountain, or just a ride around home to free my mind. I don’t appreciate riding on the road and I love forest and technical wild trails. I got 2 mountain bikes, 1 specialized turbo kenevo and a regular scott mountain bike.
I also like motorbikes, specially European brands.
